Inspirations behind the studio
Hi! My name is Stan Berghs, also known as Lixx Vixson. After years of rocking the stage and driving the low-end bass strings in Foxy Venus, I shifted my focus to where the real magic happens: the studio.
As a guitarist, composer, and producer, I don’t just record tracks—I help you shape your sonic identity.
My heart beats for the golden era of big, cinematic studio productions. I love diving deep into vintage production secrets and analog warmth, capturing that nostalgic richness and timeless energy, and blending it seamlessly with modern punch.
Whether you want towering guitar walls or lush, immersive textures, I focus on creating tracks that feel legendary.
Not only do I offer the full creative ride of your songs from jam to final mix, but I also believe the visuals need to hit just as hard. Badass band photos, rad cover art, you name it! Together, we’ll create a complete experience with the creative guidance to give your music the massive feel and iconic looks it deserves.

Vocal tracking
Vocal tracking (a.k.a recording) can done professionally. In the studio we can use a Rode NT-1 condenser microphone through a DBX 286S preamp to clean and spicen it up. Prefer to bring your own microphone? No problem! Accompanied with a varied supply of software and accomodations, your voice will cut through the mix!
Mixing
I can be your man when it comes to mixing. Wether tracking has been done in this studio or somewhere else, I can ensure you of a unique sounding mix! With some mastering it's bound to be release ready!

Instrument tracking
In the studio there's a bunch of options to record instruments. For guitar there's the Marshall amp and cab combination or the possibility to record through Amplitube 5 Max or UAD Lion '68 and IR models. Prefer your own amp? Bring it along!
For drums there's a full set of microphones to record with. A varied amount of sampling abilities is also an option. Wether it's done live with the Visionpad 9 or in the box, we can use Addictive Drums 2 for realistic drums. Rather have a poppy sound? No problem, with DMX and Linndrums option the opportunities are endless.
Branding
With experience in photography, videography and other forms of visual design I'm able to offer your music more identity and offer your projects the complete potential and value it deserve.
From album covers to band photos or branding for promoting the project. The possibilities are endless!

Inspiration
A little word about my favorite producer who has me motivated to do this
Inspiration & Production Approach: Mutt Lange as a Benchmark
To clarify my vision as a producer, it is valuable to map out a benchmark using someone who embodies this approach at the absolute highest level: Robert John "Mutt" Lange. This is not for comparison, but serves as a compass. A producer whose workflow and philosophy seamlessly align with how I view and fulfill my own role.
Who is Mutt Lange?
Mutt Lange is one of the most influential and successful music producers in the world. His name is behind some of the best-selling albums of all time: from AC/DC’s Back in Black and Def Leppard’s Hysteria to Shania Twain’s Come On Over and Bryan Adams’ Waking Up the Neighbors. With a career spanning over five decades, Lange has built an unshakeable reputation as a producer who blends massive commercial success with unprecedented standards of quality.
What sets Lange apart from other producers is not just his technical mastery, but his total, uncompromising commitment to every single project he takes on.
Total Commitment: From A to Z
Mutt Lange is never just an executive link in the production chain. He is involved from the very beginning: from songwriting and hammering out arrangements to recording sessions, sound design, mixing, and tracking down to the final detail. This comprehensive approach, where no part of the production falls outside his scope, is exactly what makes his work so cohesive and timeless.
This is the core of my own production approach. I position myself as a producer who guides a project from start to finish, not as a technician hired for a single task, but as a full creative partner who shapes and protects the entire trajectory.
Proactive & Mentoring: More Than a Producer
Artists who work with Lange often describe him as more than just a producer. He functions as a sort of artistic conscience: critical, demanding, but always serving the best possible outcome for the artist. He asks the questions others don’t dare to ask, pushes further than feels comfortable, and by doing so, extracts the absolute maximum from the people he works with.
Def Leppard has frequently shared how Lange urged them to repeat vocal harmonies until they were genuinely flawless. Sessions that could take days for just a few seconds of audio. That level of dedication results in productions that don't just sound like hit material, but still sound fresh and compelling decades later.
This mentoring, proactive role is exactly what I strive for as a producer. I don’t sit back and wait; I take initiative. I contribute to the songwriting process, suggest arrangements, collaborate on the artistic identity, and help the artist bring forward their strongest version. Even when that process is uncomfortable or demanding.
An Integral Part of the Creative Whole
A distinctive trait of Mutt Lange is that bands and artists view him as an essential part of the creative team. On Def Leppard's Hysteria, he wasn’t just the man behind the mixing console, he was the co-architect of the entire album. The same goes for his work with Shania Twain, where his role as a co-writer and producer was definitive in shaping her sound and launching her global breakthrough.
This dynamic, where the producer is pulled into the very heart of the artistic process, is precisely the relationship I want to build with the artists I work with. Not an external service provider, but a full creative partner with shared responsibility for the final result.
Commercial Quality Without Artistic Compromise
What further defines Mutt Lange's work is the combination of high artistic integrity and broad commercial appeal. His productions sound massive, polished, and accessible without ever sacrificing authenticity or depth. He has a rare gift for capturing the essence of an artist and packaging it in a way that reaches the widest possible audience.
This is the balance I strive for in my own work: productions that stay true to the artistic core, but simultaneously sound like they were made for the world stage. Quality as the standard. Commercial viability as the result of craftsmanship, not as a goal in itself.
Musical Affinity
Finally, there is the musical dimension. The genre and style of music that Mutt Lange produces; rock, pop-rock, country-pop, and the cross-pollination between them align seamlessly with the musical domain where I operate and feel at home. His production approach, his instrumentation, his arrangement logic, and his sonic signature form a direct source of inspiration for the choices I make as a producer.
Referencing Mutt Lange in the context of this business plan is therefore no accidental comparison. It is a deliberate positioning: I work from the exact same conviction that great music is the result of total dedication, complete involvement, and an unwavering focus on quality, from the very first idea to the final mastered track.
